Mega Empires is being played worldwide and frequently. More and more people enjoy the experience of playing a long game together with a big group of friends and/or board game enthusiasts. This is not a game to put randomly on the table on a game’s night but rather a full day experience that requires a bit of planning. The game has shown to find tables in Germany, Australia, Canada, Argentina, South Africa, India and the Philippines, to name a few.

Revised Editions
The first big step for MEGA EMPIRES is the release of revised editions of THE WEST and THE EAST by Ares Games in the course of 2024. These new editions are accompanied with a number of add on products which allow customers of earlier products to bring their collections up to date.

These include:

• An upgrade and 3-4 players pack that upgrades your edition to our newest publication, including components and rules to play Empires and Mega Civilization with 3-4 players.

• A revised edition of The Special Buildings Expansion 2.0 for 3-18 players with adjusted rules.

• Neoprene Game Mats at 125% scale for both THE WEST and THE EAST, fully compatible with Mega Civilization.

• A Civilization Identifiers Bonus Pack, consisting of 18 large cards.

One Step Beyond
In the meantime, Colossus Games are working hard on the development of new games as part of MEGA EMPIRES, which can be played on a standalone basis or in combination with existing products. Think of new maps, new civilizations, new advances and new calamities, due for publication in 2025 or 2026…
